Galaxy Nexus on Verizon Delayed Till After Black Friday
We’ve heard reports previously that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus would be released on November 10th. These reports seemed a little optimistic, after word came that Clove will be releasing the device November 17th. Now it seems that U.S. based customers will have to wait even longer – possibly until after Black Friday.
Droid-Life managed to pick up an advertising schedule for Verizon. According to the screenshot, the big advertising push for Samsung’s “Holiday Portfolio” (including the Galaxy Nexus) will begin immediately after Black Friday. This tends to indicate the smartphone will be released more than a week after it’s available in European stores.
Of course, it’s possible that Verizon will start selling the device (at least pre-orders) before Black Friday. This is just a preview of when the big marketing push will begin. But for those hungry Android users out there, it looks like your best bet of getting a Galaxy Nexus early would be to order online from Europe (such as from Clove in the U.K.)

AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile to get Galaxy Nexus
Samsung U.S.A. has launched a website where you can sign up to be notified when the Galaxy Nexus is available for your region. According to the list on their website, it’s likely that the Galaxy Nexus will be coming to all the major carriers, including:
- AT&T
- Cellular South
- Metro PCS
- Sprint
- T-Mobile
- U.S. Cellular
- Verizon
Of course, just because these carriers are listed on the website, it doesn’t mean they’ll all be getting the handset this November. Leaks have indicated that Verizon may get early exclusivity, with a release on November 10.
